Our mission is to help businesses achieve WSIB compliance, and empower our attendees to respond safely in any workplace or home emergencies.

Our team of Red Cross First Aid Instructors helps employers maintain WSIB compliance for training and equipment, which keeps workplaces safe and helps employers avoid fines.

We also help job seekers, students, and future babysitters complete the First Aid and CPR certifications they need to meet their employment and academic requirements.

Join us at one of our public First Aid, CPR, and AED courses in Arnprior, Renfrew and Pembroke, or arrange a private on-site course.

Our Services Public Courses

All workplaces are required to have employees trained in CPR and First Aid. Our Public Courses make this training accessible for the general public, as well as small groups.

13 First Aid hosts public trainings in Arnprior, Renfrew and Pembroke. Our courses are fun, hands-on, and focus on the practical application of emergency treatment. These courses are suitable for job seekers, employees, and individuals looking to gain knowledge and skill for everyday life.

Standard First Aid, CPR-C, and AED is a comprehensive 13+ hour course. It is the most popular course, meeting most workplace and academic requirements. It is available as a traditional 2 day course, or as a blended course with the theory being completed online. Successful applicants will receive their Red Cross certification, valid for 3 years.

Emergency First Aid, CPR-C, and AED is an 8 hour course. It is available in a traditional or blended format. Successful applicants will receive their Red Cross certification, valid for 3 years.

Standard First Aid

Concepts covered in Emergency First Aid + recognizing/treating medical, musculoskeletal, poisons, spinal, & environmental emergencies.

Corporate First Aid WORKPLACE COURSES

The WSIB regulations mandate First Aid training requirements based on the number of employees at a given work site. Some industries are also governed by other legislation. The information below can help guide you in the right direction.

More than 5 employees

Standard First Aid, CPR, AED

Standard First Aid is our most popular course. It is a comprehensive course, covering airway, breathing and circulation emergencies, use of the AED, as well as many medical emergencies and non-emergencies.

This 13-15 hour course is traditionally completed over two full days. We also offer blended e-learning programs. This allows attendees to complete the theory portion on-line, and attend only one day in class to complete the practical during one session.

Small Work Place

5 or fewer employees / Self employed

Emergency First Aid, CPR, AED

Emergency First Aid covers airway, breathing and circulation emergencies, use of the AED, as well as medical emergencies. This 7 hour course is traditionally completed in one day.

Industry Specific

Dental, CANFIT Professionals, Etc.

CPR-A, CPR-B, CPR-C, CPR-HCP and AED

CPR training covers airway, breathing and circulation emergencies, as well as the use of the heart-restarting AED.

CPR is offered in 4 levels, based on the clientele and profession.

- CPR-A: Adult emergencies
- CPR-B: Adult and child emergencies
- CPR-C: Adult, child and infant emergencies
- CPR-HCP: For health care providers.
