ABOUT 13 FIRST AID
- 13 First Aid provides Red Cross training throughout Ottawa, the Ottawa Valley and beyond!
- 13 First Aid was established in 2016 in Arnprior, Ontario (about 40 minutes west of Ottawa). Our mission is to help businesses achieve WSIB compliance, and empower our attendees to respond safely in any workplace or home emergencies.
- Our instructors lead fun, hands on training to the public, and for groups of almost any size! 13 First Aid is an authorized Red Cross Training Partner.
- 13 First Aid has grown to supply First Aid equipment, and develop the Pawramedics pet first aid training program.

ABOUT NATHAN
Nathan joined the 13 First Aid team in 2021. Nathan is retired military, and was based in Petawawa while serving multiple tours in Eastern Europe. He has extensive experience as a military instructor, team leader, and mentor. Although he may seem intimidating, he leads fun and engaging training with a wicked sense of humour.
He now lives in his dream house in the country with his partner, their kids, the second best dog in the Ottawa Valley (Bowie), and a bunch of chickens (Henrietta, Julia, Daffy, McClucks and Susie).

ABOUT NATALIE
No team is complete without a crazy cat lady!
Natalie joined us in 2020, and is an integral part of our continued success. She is incredibly organized, and handles most of the day-to-day work that occurs outside of the classroom. If you’ve ever taken a class with us, she’s likely the reason you’ve arrived to the right place, at the right time, and with the correct material.
Even though she likes cats more than dogs, we’re happy to have her!
Instructor for:
Cats.

ABOUT MADDIE
Maddie also joined the team in 2021. Maddie is an active first responder at Luskville Drag track, and formerly at Carleton University. She’s the only PhD on the team, and is currently studying to become a paramedic. She loves being in the classroom apparently, whether as an instructor or a student.
In her free time, she is working towards getting her pup Aurum trained as a therapy doggo. Aurum loves kids, and they hope to do some volunteering at CHEO on top of crisis support with first responders.
Instructor for:
First Responder, BLS
First Aid, CPR, AED

ABOUT CALEIGH
2021 was a great year, with another great instructor joining the team. Caleigh is also an active first responder working events locally around Ottawa and larger festivals such as Boots & Hearts, as well as formerly at Carleton University.
With a heart of gold, she works full time with the Elizabeth Fry Society of Ottawa, advocating and supporting women experiencing hardships as they work on bettering their lives.
Like most of our group, she is team dog!
Instructor for:
First Responder, BLS
First Aid, CPR, AED

ABOUT LADY
Lady is the Chief Cuddle Officer of Pawramedics, the star of the course manual, and a regular attendee of many Pawramedics First Aid courses. She is arguably the cutest dog ever.
She is very patient for a puppy but is still full of beans. She loves to play outside with sticks, stones, and even bones. She is a social dog, and loves accompanying her people to the store, the office, or on adventures.
Instructor for:
Social
